Eight SuperDraco engines, paired in four pods, can pull the capsule clear of a failing rocket.
The nose cone swings open to uncover the docking port, and closes again for re-entry.
The trunk, with its solar cells and radiator, is left behind before re-entry; the capsule comes down under parachutes at sea.
Built in code from published dimensions and NASA photographs — there is no public-domain model of any of these. Proportions follow the published figures; panel details and markings are read off photographs, and some fittings are placed by eye.
